Popis The study is an extension of our large-scale survey addressing the issue of self-harm prevalence among adolescents in a broader context. The main objective was to examine the connections between the occurrence of self-harming behaviour in young adolescents, and the quality of their relationships with parents and peers, attitudes to school, academic aspirations, and preferred spare-time activities. Significant associations between self-harming behavior of young adolescents and the quality of their relationships with parents and peers, attitudes to school, and preferred spare-time activities were found; these findings may have importance in targeting of the intervention programs.
