What is hidden under the acronym HR Award?

The European Commission grants HR Excellence in Research Award (further HR Award) to institutions that implement HRS4R strategy (The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) based on respecting 40 principles set out in The European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Commission recommendation of March 11, 2005).

We were granted the HR Excellence in Research Award

On December 4, 2019, the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University launched the application process for the HR Excellence in Research Award ("HR Award") by submitting an Endorsement Letter to the European Commission – acceptance of the Charter and the Code principles.

Opening of the (Post)doctoral school

On February 11, 2021, the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University opened the (Post)doctoral school. The (Post)doctoral school is a platform including activities to support early-stage researchers in becoming a professional researcher and a member of an academic community.

Activities of (Post)doctoral school

One of the activities planned in the frame of the HR Excellence in Research Award at the Faculty of Education is so-called (Post)doctoral school. Based on feedback from the HR Award questionnaire, focus groups interviews with PhD students and focus groups of HR Award working group, areas for improvement at the Faculty level were identified.
