Where are we situated?
The Faculty of Education MU is located in Old Brno near Mendel Square and is a short distance from the city centre with good transport accessibility. Around the faculty, the waterfront of the Svratka River is being transformed to create a promenade with cafés, pedestrian and sports trails.
Faculty canteen
In April 2022, the canteen was opened along with a new student club in Building Y on the faculty campus. The cafeteria is open Monday through Friday from 11am-3pm and serves up to nine main meals. The student club is located on the floor above the canteen and is open for students to hang out outside of canteen hours.
Cafe Kafinet
The academic cafeteria with refreshments is adapted for students to work and relax and offers spacious tables, a bar, plenty of drawers and comfortable chairs. Staffed by people with disabilities, the café gives people with specific needs such as shorter working hours, a quieter working pace or support from an assistant the opportunity to work. The Kafinet café can be found at Poříčí 31.
Library
The Central Library of the Faculty of Education MU can be found in the building of the Centre for Research Institutes and Doctoral Studies (CVIDOS) on the Poříčí 31. The library is located in a modern space on four floors, where there are plenty of study places, group study rooms, boxes for individual study and relaxation corners.
Classrooms and laboratories
The Faculty has modern laboratories and specialised classrooms, where we are constantly trying to improve their equipment. New studios are currently being built for the Department of Art.
