Entrance examination dates
How to enroll? It’s quite simple. Just 5 steps…
Masaryk University graduates, i.e. users of the MU Information System, will find the enrollment process even easier, as they already use their login credentials on a regular basis (nevertheless, if they follow the steps outlined below, they will intuitively and successfully complete the enrollment).
Step 1
In your e-application, between September 1 – September 7, 2025, you will see a button “Enroll in studies”

Step 2
After clicking this button, you will be redirected to a new page where you are required to check three confirmations:
a. Consent to enrollment in studies
b. Confirmation of your control over the password
c. Confirmation that you are familiar with Health and Safety regulations

Step 3
Below the confirmation message “Enrollment in studies was successful” you will find a very important number – UČO (University Person Number). Remember and write down this number, as it will accompany you throughout your entire studies at Masaryk University. You will use it to log in to the MU Information System – you can get there by clicking the “Log in to IS MU” button located right below the enrollment confirmation.

Step 4
By clicking the “Log in to IS MU” button, you will be redirected to a page where you can set your temporary password. If you have already studied at MU and have been assigned a UČO, you log in using your existing primary password.

Step 5
After setting your own password, you can log in to IS MU. At this stage, your status will still be “unverified person”, which will be clearly indicated on every page of IS MU. (How to get verified as soon as possible?)

Identity Verification
“Verification” is a process that applies only to individuals whose identity has not yet been verified by Masaryk University (i.e. those who have not yet been assigned a UČO). Typically, this concerns most newly enrolled students who have not studied at MU before.
How can you verify your identity quickly and successfully?
Verification Options
Please verify your identity as soon as possible, no later than September 7, 2025. You can choose one of the following options: Personal visit to the Office for Research, Quality and Academic Affairs (Mgr. H. Florková) during office hours, with your passport or ID card.
Photograph (for ISIC / Student ID Card and beyond)
Masaryk University graduates already have their photographs (and in many cases also their ID cards). The following information is primarily intended for those who are coming to MUNI for the first time.
Why is a photograph required by the university?
According to the Higher Education Act, universities must provide students with an identification card after enrollment. This card serves as official proof of student status. The photograph is also stored and displayed in the university’s information systems.
You can choose one of the following two options to take/upload your photograph:
An order for the production of an ISIC / Student ID Card can only be placed if a suitable photograph already exists in the IS.
Please order your ID card here.
Course Registration and Enrollment
During the course of your studies, you must complete all compulsory courses and some compulsory-elective courses (as specified for your program). Which compulsory and compulsory-elective courses apply to your program can be found in the Study Catalogue. The Study Catalogue serves as a recommended study plan, and its equivalent in the Information System (IS) are registration templates, which assist you when registering for courses.
The specific courses you need to complete during your studies can be found in the Course Catalogue of the Faculty of Education, MU.
Courses can only be registered during designated periods, i.e. during the Registration, Enrollment, and Enrollment Changes periods. The schedule for these periods in a given semester can be found in the Academic Calendar.
Individual Study Plan
As a first-year student, you must enter your Individual Study Plan into IS MU in collaboration with your supervisor. The instructions can be found here.
