Faculty of Education of Masaryk University newly joins the initiative Go to work by bike! Let's take part in the challenge and together support sustainable mobility, psychological well-being and an active lifestyle. Registration is free for the first 30 faculty employees.
Join thousands of participants in the May Bike to Work Challenge. Simply form teams of 2 to 5 people with your colleagues, sign up and bike, walk or run to work throughout May. Employees can form teams with colleagues from departments or divisions, or completely randomly across the faculty. Students can also participate by paying their own registration fee.
Simply select the organization when registering: the Masaryk University, Faculty of Education, register via employee email and choose to have the fee reimbursed by the employer.
All participants in the challenge will receive organic cotton t-shirts or socks. The best ones from all over the country will also receive great prizes such as bicycles, scooters, tours or tickets to various sports and cultural events.

Number of remaining places with paid fee – 30
Evaluation will be done in two categories - Individual Performance and Team Regularity. After the completion and recording of all the results, a Faculty Challenge Meeting will be organized and the results will be announced. In addition to small gifts and refreshments provided, our faculty participants can share their experiences and feelings about the May Bike to Work Challenge.
All participants take part in the Brno challenge in the categories - Team Regularity, Green Kilometres and Green Kilometres on your own. During the challenge it is possible to take part in several T-shirt events, which are organized for all participants from Brno and its surroundings. More about the Brno challenge here
Together, the results for the whole faculty are entered into a national challenge organised directly by the organiser of the Auto-mat project, which announces the most successful individuals and teams. Culture Beat 2, an international exhibition that brings together artists from different parts of the world and explores the cultural and historical specificities of each region, opened in Granada. The exhibition includes a wide range of artworks, from painting and photography to video installations, and aims to stimulate dialogue between different cultures. The Culture Beat project, a collaboration between several universities, continues in Granada and will expand to Brno, Bergamo and Novi Sad in 2025.
Mgr. Oksana Yuriyivna Stupak, Ph.D., DrSc., Assistant Professor at the Department of Pedagogy, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, has been awarded a prestigious JUNIOR STAR grant to continue her research on the inclusion of Ukrainian pupils in the Czech education system. The project focuses on the current issue of inclusion of Ukrainian children in the Czech education system. It aims to improve the educational conditions for Ukrainian pupils who fled the war and to support the development of an inclusive environment in Czech schools.
