The debate on gender equality in academia is gaining momentum. If you feel that you do not know all the background and challenges that come with it, we recommend watching a series of short informative videos. These videos have recently been published by the Nora Gender Information Centre on their YouTube channel.
These videos will give you a concise and easy-to-understand overview of gender bias against women and introduce concepts such as equal opportunity, gender, discriminatory behaviour and sexual harassment in an academic setting. They will offer practical advice on how to respond to sexual harassment and how to use gender-balanced language. Special attention is given to the gender dimension in research and economic violence in the context of work-life balance. Each video is 2-3 minutes long and there are 10 videos in total. Through these videos you will gain a deeper understanding of gender inequality and can contribute to creating a safe and respectful environment for all.

PED MUNI is involved in helping schools in Jesenik region that were affected by the floods. Many of these schools will be coping with the effects of the floods for a long time, which makes teaching very difficult. Any involvement of MUNI PED students in teaching and supervising students is a great help for the affected schools.
