The project consists in analysing themes in literary works of three French authoresses of 20th century (Marie Noel, Suzanne Renaud and Sylvie Germain). The themes of their works is highly influenced by christianity. All the three authoresses will be put in the context of their time, their works will be analyzed and their themes will be compared from the point of view of christian elements. The outcome will be in a form of a monograph written in Czech presenting the given topic supplemented by the passages from a christian oriented branch of French literature with the aim to develop further cooperation. Either the themes of christian oriented French literature, or assessment of literary works of the selected authoresses have not been adequately presented in our country yet.

Results

The project consisted of analysing the themes of literary output written by three French 20th century female authors,
Marie Noel, Suzanne Renaud and Sylvie Germain. The themes of their works are highly influenced by Christian religion. All
the three authors were put into context of their time, their works were analyzed and its themes were compared from the
point of view of Christian elements. The outcome is a monograph written in Czech presenting the given topic
supplemented with the passages taken from the works of selected authors.Parts of the project's research stays consisted
of helpful consultations and an investigator's effort to make contacts with experts from a Christian oriented field of French
literature with the aim to establish further collaboration with them. Neither the themes of Christian oriented French
literature, nor assessment of literary output of the selected authors have not been adequately presented in our country yet.
The results are also sub-studies examining various aspects of the works of the authors in the first or the second half of the
20th century. The main goal of the project to gather material, study it and publish a monograph has been filled.
