Citation
Description The aim of this chapter is to analyze the trivialization of mental health in children and adolescents. The source for selecting this social issue is the author’s everyday educational practice. The analysis of the issue is based on the theory of ignorance, the theory of prejudices, and the theory of power. Among the solutions corresponding to the work of the social pedagogue are the use of social critical dialogue, in which the labelling of power-constructed prejudices by adults will take place, as well as the implementation of primary prevention programs and the use of techniques from the theatre of the oppressed.
