Description The contribution is devoted to the issue of lifelong learning of adults with mental disabilities as an important element of socialization and activation of the given target group. One of the forms of lifelong learning is the so-called "evening school". The main goal is to describe the functioning of the "evening school" and to prove its positive contribution to the social inclusion of adults with mental disabilities. In order to meet the given goals, the viewpoint of the organizers and lecturers of the "evening school" was used, as well as the parents (legal representatives, guardians, caregivers) of the participants themselves. The possibility of educating people with mental disabilities is currently practically ensured within preschool, primary and secondary education. Efforts to ensure the lifelong education of adults with mental disabilities are also a positive signal. At the same time, it is not only about ensuring the "fundamentals of education" in an adequate form, but also about education with the aim of obtaining the maximum qualification for achieving a satisfactory occupational and social classification.
