Description The dynamics of technological has greatly affected not only the economic field but also the field of education. Vocational education, as an important part of the preparation of future workers, must respond adequately to stimuli related to dynamic technological development. This is manifested by a broad discussion regarding the form of vocational education, including in the intentions of Industry 5.0, emphasizing the need to develop a STEAM approach in education and by including the issue of artificial intelligence and virtual reality not only in the real conditions of production procedures in economic practice, but also in the educational process in vocational education. The analysis of the current state of knowledge in the field of virtual technologies usable in the educational process, especially in the field of technical vocational education, indicates that this is a relatively new and current issue, but with significant historical roots. Trainers and simulators have traditionally been used in vocational education to develop students' psychomotor skills. They are naturally followed by virtual reality in the context of the development of connectivism and its influence on the educational process. Furthermore, virtual reality in conjunction with artificial intelligence provides space for developing feedback in the learning process, specifically by enabling interactive error correction. The importance of the trainer in the educational process is not replaced by this, but rather the educator is provided with a powerful tool for his adequate possibilities of facilitating the educational process. Using selected examples of virtual reality that can be used in technical vocational education, the possibilities of improving and enriching the educational process not only in secondary vocational schools are presented. Virtual reality, in addition to artificial intelligence, represents a significant opportunity for the development of a wide range of areas in education.
