Description The thesis summarizes current information on autism spectrum disorders in the Czech Republic and some foreign countries. The aim of the work is to contribute through a comprehensive overview of theoretical data and data obtained from research investigations, divided into two main studies with various minor sub studies, to the comprehensive understanding of the disorder, raise of awareness, support of the inclusive trends, and to contribute to the debate on the appropriateness of integration of students on the autism spectrum into mainstream schools.
