Description German phonetics and phonology requires a systematic approach when teaching German as a foreign language. Practicing phonetics is usually not stressed enough. Mistakes in pronunciation then persist during further study and their unteaching becomes difficult. Essential is the choice of suitable materials which are supposed to ease practicing of German pronunciation.
