Description The second chapter deals with the competence of teachers to reflect on and analyze the process of teaching/learning. In this chapter we discuss modern approaches of so called reflective practice which can help to turn observations into developmental observations. Schöns and Korthagens approach to reflective practice, which is the basis of this book, contributes to increasing the quality of teachers pedagogical work and also to improving the quality of implementation of curriculum in instruction. Towards the end of this chapter we introduce so called action research as a methodological tool for improving practice through observations.
