Description There are dark ages for technical subjects at upper primary schools nowadays. The hour donations for these subjects are small. Despite this fact it is important to develop the technical thinking of the children and to positively improve their attitudes to the technology. It is important to raise their interest and to motivate them to think about their future occupation in the field of technology. An interesting topic can catch the attention of pupils and motivate them to work. One of these interesting topics can be Robotics. The aim of this subject can be to design a Beambot, which is a simple robot mainly from recycled materials. The aim of this contribution is to show the possibilities of Robotics at upper primary schools and to demonstrate various types of Beambots. The paper is part of the research carried out preparatory to our department.
