Keywords josephinism - Minims - abolition of monasteries
Description The abolition of monasteries under the rule Josep II is one of the most devasting interventions with the monastic life in history ever. The well-preserved sources enable to reconstruct the state of German-Czech Province around 1771, when there were about two hundert monks living there, and to compare it with situation of those communities in the time of their abolition.
