Description The article deals with definition of the media literacy concept and his incorporation into system of other literacies, especially functional and informational literacy. The article mentions and gives reasons for assumption of media literacy by contemporary pupils. The way how to achieve media literacy is a media education. In the article there is presented the incorporation of media education as the theme of RVP ZV (The Frame Educational Programme of Primary Education) and its inosculation predominatingly to Language and Language communication educational area. There is mentioned the importance of teachers who will implicate the media education to their lessons as well and the offer of institutions, which cater to these facilities of teachers.
