Description The purpose of the authors is to analyse the issue of curriculum in the international perspective but with application to the Czech context. Approaches to curriculum are addressed, its structure and components are analysed and the main documents that define curriculum are described. Special attention is paid to curricular research in the U.S.A., Germany and the Czech Republic. The monograph differs from similar books on the same topic in its aim at the school. The relationship between the pupil and curriculum are thoroughly examined as well as curricular concepts of the teacher, who is the key agent of implementation in the realisation phase.
