| Description | Primary and secondary education in the Czech Republic is currently undergoing a major curricular reform. So far, the teachers in the Czech Republic have been obliged to follow curricula set by the state. Traditional curricula are now being replaced by Framework Educational Programmes. Each school is required to design their own School Educational Programme, which is an outcome of team cooperation by all teachers at the school. To prepare future language teachers for their new role of curriculum designers who are capable of implementing integrated approaches in their own teaching, modifications in teacher education study programmes are needed. |
