| Description | The aim of this work is the utilization of a literary text in foreign language teaching. The first part contains the survey of theoretical principles underlying the topic, methodological steps that are to be taken when working with the text and a selection of appropriate reading text samples. In the second part, there are thirteen methodological worksheets both in Czech and in French which represent various ways of reading and working with the text. There are also tasks that develop learners creative writing abilities and intercultural competence. The last two methodological worksheets are devoted to extensive reading of a work of fiction in sequences. The third part presents a case study from schools. Its aim was to verify the impact of pre-reading and while-reading activities on the comprehension of an un-known text. |
