| Description | A 40 kDa polypeptide was detected by SDS-PAGE after cross-linking the complex formed by extracts from tobacco leaf nuclei. In extracts from Silene latifolia leaves, three retarded fractions of DNA-protein complexes have been found and apparent mmolecular weights of their protein components have been determined. In addition to these single-strand binding proteins,a number of double-strand-telomere-binding proteins has been detected.Such proteins may be involved in regulation of telomere maintenance in plants. |
