| Description | The Drahotuše manon is located on the border of the Olomouc and Přerov districts. A large part of it consisted of the southeastern edge of the Oder Hills. Today, this area is mostly made up of forests, pastures, and fields. At present, however, it is intensively used for forestry activities, leading to significant deforestation and the planting of young vegetation. Such activities are gradually destroying the traces preserved in the landscape and thus considerably complicating the study of the medieval cultural-historical landscape. For this reason, it is necessary to at least document these remains, or preferably examine them using non-destructive archaeological methods, in order to prevent their loss. As part of the bachelor’s thesis of the poster’s author, research into the cultural-historical landscape of the former Drahotuše estate was carried out. The research revealed a high concentration of anthropogenic relics at the site “Juřačka.” The village of Juřitínov first appears in written records in 1371, and then again in 1480, when it is listed as deserted. The poster presents the results of an analysis of historical, cartographic, and archaeological sources from this site, which helped to reconstruct the location of the deserted village of Juřitínov. |
