| Description | The paper analyses two comics by the unique artist František Skála from the perspective of the travel motif and the transformative role of landscape, representing not only a backdrop for adventure and heroic virtues, but also a space for aesthetic contemplation. In particular, the analysis focuses on how Skála combines the visual and narrative components to create an imaginative world that draws on various cultural traditions and artistic and creative principles. Attention is also paid to how Skála's conception of landscape in his comics relates to his other artistic work, in which nature and its materials play a significant role. |
