Description The course is designed for both the general public and professionals, including caregivers and specialists working with individuals exhibiting challenging behavior. The methodology of the course is based on the practical functional assessment (of challenging behavior), which, after detailed analysis, is replaced with adaptive behavior using behavioral approaches. Adaptive behaviors typically include functional communication, tolerance skills, and the development of academic, self-care, and other essential life skills. The course is divided into two parts (modules). In the first part, participants will learn the basics of functional assessment and intervention-in other words, how to determine the cause of challenging behavior and reduce its frequency or intensity. In the second part, participants will learn procedures aimed at developing specific skills through practical exercises.
