Description This conference paper focuses on the issue of social pragmatic communication disorders in speech and language therapy and special education practice. The new diagnostic manual DSM-5, published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA), includes the diagnosis of Socially Pragmatic Communication Disorders. The new revision of the International Classification of Diseases ICD-11 includes the diagnosis of Developmental Language Disorder, which focuses primarily on pragmatic communication difficulties. However, there is still a lack of professional materials in the Czech environment that would serve for correct diagnosis and effective therapy of this disorder.
