Description The article addresses the salient issue of violence directed towards teachers within the upper secondary school setting (ISCED 3) in the Czech Republic. The principal objective of the research project is to determine the prevalence of instances of violence experienced by teachers in the course of their professional duties. Moreover, the study has additional objectives, which are to identify the different forms of violence experienced by educators. The empirical section of the article presents the findings of a survey conducted among a sample of 401 teachers, providing empirical data to support the investigation’s objectives. The research on violence against teachers in secondary schools and the field of special pedagogy have a number of shared connections. Incidents of violence have an adverse impact on teachers’ capacity to provide inclusive education. It is of the utmost importance to implement supportive measures and strategies for teachers in order to prevent violence. The techniques employed by special pedagogy in the education of students with diverse needs can assist in the management of violent situations.
