Description The publication presents the conclusions of a quantitative research survey, the aim of which was to analyse the influence of stressors of the school and family environment on the occurrence of psychosomatic manifestations and the coping strategies used in pupils aged 14–19 years (N=459). In the introduction of the publication, the basic theoretical concepts of the survey itself are characterized, i.e. the terms stress and stressors, the characteristics of adolescence, the importance of family, school and their factors in the context of well-being, coping strategies and the possible emergence of psychosomatic difficulties. At the beginning of empirical part, the objectives, research questions and hypotheses are characterized. The research was carried out using a questionnaire of our own design compiled on the basis of the analysis of professional literature. The analysis of research findings is organized with regard to the basic monitored variables, such as age, type of school or region. The conclusions of the survey summarize the answers to the research questions together with an in-depth analysis of the influence of stress in the context of the educational environment (characterized by a positive evaluation of selected statements) and the family environment (in the sense of a negative evaluation of the relationship with one/both parents) on the occurrence of psychosomatic problems and preferred coping strategies. The limits of the study and recommendations for special education practice are defined.
