Description Since 2018, the Sculpture Lab has been a platform for art education, participation and creative process in museum education. As a sculptor, Andrea Kaňkovská mediates art and architecture as an art educator. She works with soft materials such as foam, rubber and other industrially produced materials. As a researcher, she investigates the position of the artist in the educational process, the use of artistic skills in creative work with participants of Sculpture Lab workshops. Emily Pringle (2009) explores the work of artists working in the Arts Council's Council (AISFL) in her study Artists in Sites for Learning, and in particular focuses on the specificities of the educational work of practising artists in interviews with artist-educators working within Tate Modern's education programme. It also focuses on individual artists' perceptions of their own work and the use of their expertise in education.
