| Description | During their studies, students of the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University will encounter a number of subjects and exercises that use ArcGIS tools. The exercises are always directed towards their future profession – geography teacher. Theoretically, it is based on the knowledge and skills that students acquire in the 1st semester in the subject Cartography. The first contact with Esri products occurs already at the beginning of the course in the subject Introduction to the study of geography, where students collect data related to the geomorphology of the local landscape using the Survey123 application and then work with the data in the subject Relief and structure of the Earth. They use ArcGIS tools until the end of their master's or doctoral studies. Students use Esri products not only in subjects primarily focused on geoinformation technologies (Cartography and Geoinformatics, Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing), but cross-sectionally in every subject they complete during their studies. A number of students focus their final theses on topics related to Esri products. |
