Description The military conflict in Ukraine brought a challenge for Czech schools – the integration of a large number of Ukrainian refugees. This paper is based on interviews with students and their parents. The schools focused primarily on the social adaptation of Ukrainian students. Even though there are problems in class collectives, Ukrainian parents and students speak positively about teachers and Czech schools. The flip side of this adaptation strategy is the lowering of academic demands, which is why research participants consider the Czech schools to be easy.
