Description In recent years, one of the main topics in education has been the use of online methods. One of them is the newly created Braille-Music platform, which is used to teach and interactively practice the basic knowledge of tactile notation. It also offers an overview of all the features of Braille Music notation, thus improving access to information in this area (www.braille-music.org). This paper will summarise the findings of research verifying the effectiveness and benefits of the platform. The development and subsequent evaluation of the platform's functionality and effectiveness have opened up new possibilities in teaching Braille Music notation alongside traditional face-to-face teaching. The application was assessed through an evaluation study focusing on three areas: functionality, efficiency and added value. The findings of the study suggest that the platform is compatible with assistive technology for the blind, highly effective and beneficial to practice, and therefore a suitable tool for teaching.
