| Description | Following the publication of the CEFR-Companion Volume, language mediation is a frequently discussed topic. While in many European countries mediation has been perceived as a core part of communicative competence in a foreign language for more than 20 years and has been developed and tested at various school levels, in the Czech Republic this topic remains as if "undiscovered". The aim of this paper is to awaken the interest of the professional and lay public in this issue and to motivate foreign language teachers to incorporate mediation activities into teaching at all language levels. |
