Description "The goal was to find out and compare how early care services developed in the countries of the former Soviet Union and in the Czech Republic. The countries on which the research was focused are Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, which nowadays have common borders, similar cultural background and mentality of the population. On the basis of an interview with a representative of each selected center, it was found out how the admission of a child with a disability to an early care center is carried out, what is involved in working with his family, what is used for further development services and what, according to the workers' opinions, needs to be improved, what knowledge and education are needed by early care workers and how educational activities are carried out in selected countries. On the basis of the analysis and comparison of data with the system of early care in the Czech Republic, incentives for its further development and improvement were found."
