Description The poster summarized preliminary results of the qualitative phase of the mixed research into FEEC BUT students´ learning styles of English. The quantitative phase identified 5 prefered ways of learning, 3 on the synoptic and 2 on the ectenic pole. For the interview only students who showed strong preferences for the prefered styles were selected. The aim of the interview was to find out how students learn, if they are successful this way and if they would be willing to change their ways of learning in order to succeed. The majority of them answered that they are successful the way they learn and they are usually not willing to change it even if they are not successful. Some of them said they had tried it and it did not work for them.
