| Description | How does the teaching of literature and the reading of literary texts in the FFL class open up to adolescents the possibility of migrating to the target culture of the foreign language? How can teachers transform authentic literary texts into didactic resources allowing them to travel between their own culture and the culture studied in their FFL classes? These questions guide the research “Reading of authentic literary texts in FFL classes among high school students at level B1 in the Czech Republic”. This contribution proposes the interpretation of the results of the questionnaire and the reflection on the objectives of the varied activities created on the basis of the reading of authentic literary texts with adolescents in FFL classes. Apart from linguistic, cultural and aesthetic skills, texts have the potential to also develop the intellectual skills of learners thanks to the imagination that is created through this reading experience. |
