Description With the declining interest in French in primary and secondary schools in recent years (according to the statistics of the Ministry of Education and Science, 2022), but at the same time with the increasing shortage of French-speaking employees on the labour market, the question of how to address this situation has been raised for some time. The article summarises the results of a 2020 survey of French teachers, which confirmed the downward trend, the attitudes of pupils and their parents towards the French language, but also the demand from teachers to ensure better mutual information, cooperation and support within their place of work. These requirements are met by a tool that has been developed following the teacher survey, the Interactive Map of French in the Czech Republic (2021).
