Description The dissertation focuses on the analysis of the possibilities of intervention in the use of addictive substances in institutional education. The expected contribution specifies the first part of the research, which aims to map the competencies of educators to deal with the use of addictive substances through qualitative research. These competencies include orientation in addiction theory, self-reflection of experience and competencies, analysis of good practice, currently used intervention procedures, legislative support and perception of one's needs in connection with setting up an intervention. The conference contribution presents the theoretical starting point for the research, the methodology of the research investigation, while presenting the ongoing research results.
