| Description | The author attempts to propose a guide to moral decision-making in times of climate crisis. We follow an analogy with professional ethics, which develops and offers tools for better decision-making for professions that have a high degree of autonomous decision-making. Our result is intended for environmental activists, politicians, and other actors involved in the process of stopping the climate crisis (or protecting the environment). The second part of the paper is an analysis of existing tools NGOs and movements have for their staff and activists to organize campaigns to stop climate change. Three criteria are established and explained for the creation of the guide and the analysis: a) consistency of the planned action with the goal (stopping climate change); b) consistency with the principle of non-violence and prevention of further suffering; c) coherence of goals and actions. |
