Description The presentation summmarised the results of the pilot research conducted with students of English as a foreign language, particularly students of the Primary School Teacher Training programme. The conclusions drawn from the data collected in the quasi-experiment indicate that pragmatics instruction contributes to the development of students' writing skills and that they have a positive attitude towards pragmatics instruction and its effect on their writing skills.
