| Description | The keywork of the Moravian toponomastics presents global information and detail explanation of the types of the Moravian and Silesian names of settlements under their history and development. There are the names of the populated areas: of the big and small towns, villages, settlements, seclusions, castles, tower houses and of vanished settlements. Historical documents of all place names in the books are presented, too. The author explains the language origin and development of the forms of each place names, he presents the vernacular forms of them, too. The most important historical events and facts, that are associated with the place names, are explained, too. The last edition of the book is complemented by Rudolf Šrámek and that is supplemented with new names. |
