Description In order to achieve tertiary education, especially in the full-time form of study, it is necessary to give up earning as full-time employee. It is therefore necessary to accept the opportunity cost approach. These, on the other hand, are offset by higher earnings by university-educated employees. The return on tertiary education varies considerably from one EU country to another and correlates with both the educational structure and the wage level. The text describes the return on tertiary education and what else can be identified as significant factors, based on data.
