Description The main aim of our contribution is to examine the language regime in the multilingual schools. Theoretically is the study based on the concept of school as a social space (Lefebvre, 1991), which includes not only physical objects but also social relations, interactions and their placement in space. In accordance with the sociolinguistic tradition is space understood as a way of combining language practices and language regimes. In our study we use multimodal approach, which includes interviews with school headmasters, teachers, photo-interviews with teachers, linguistic landscaping and observations. The research sample consists of three schools (3 headmasters and 6 teachers), which handle in their school based curriculum with languages in specific way. First results show that language regimes at schools preserve the monolingual norm in schools.
