| Description | In his lecture, the author approached the semantic analysis methodologically as a tool for deeper understanding of the non-musical content of a musical work. Theoretically and practically, he introduced the application of modern Peirceian semiotics to the principles of the structure of a music compositions, offered the possibility of using musical semiotics (not only) in program works of artificial music, with respect to syntactics, semantics and pragmatics. The requested lecture for PhD students and academic staff was hold at the Department of Music, Faculty of Education, University of Ostrava on February 28, 2020. |
