Description The chapter deals with the definition and brief history of political psychology, analyzes the main approaches and directions of research in this field of psychology. Among other topics are described: personality and political behavior, emotions and political behavior, political socialization, forming political identity. At the level of macro-social phenomena, the chapter deals with topics of political ideologies and values, intergroup and international relations. In conclusion, new approaches and trends in political psychology, often associated with the development of neurosciences, are mentioned.
