Description In the communication, we introduced our research on the proper names of Wenceslaus (Václav) and Charles occurring in the XIVth century documents written in French and Latin. We deal with the names of Charles IV (1316-1378), King of Bohemia and Emperor - Baptismal Name Wenceslas, special Name Omtela occurring in the Papal Deeds and Confirmation Name Charles, and also by the Baptismal Name of his half-brother Wenceslas I (1337-1383), Duke of Luxembourg. The French language, which is not subject to the norm in the given period, allowed their various graphic forms and pronunciation.
