Description The paper is a continuation of the research of Sylvie Germain's work. It contains an analysis of the landscape described in her book Le Monde sans vous. We examine French writers' responses to the cultural journey through the Trans-Siberian Highway, the author's descriptions of the beauty of Russian nature, its vastness, but also the responses of the wealth of Russian poetry and the deep pain of some places along the way. All the observed landscapes are depicted in the writings of Sylvie Germain more widely than just from a geographic point of view. The author engages in dialogue with all who lived or lived there, recalling those who wrote poetry inspired by the genius of these places, and creates vivid images, colored by her reading and philosophical thoughts.
