| Description | The project aims to present a radio-controlled model (RC) of a special race car. RC models, especially helicopters and cars has recently become popular due to Chinese manufacturers and the improvement of the price-performance ratio. Commonly used size is approximately 1/10 scale. These replicas of real-life models are used in military deployment as demining assistance, long distance field explorations or eavesdropping. In the educational environment, the purpose of this project is implemented mainly in the class entertainment, understatement of the basic principles of electrical energy or developmental activities specializing in children´s fine motor skills. However, models similar to this one, are advised to procure already composed. Component car kits are made of individual plastic parts, each one of them (drivetrain, ESC-regulator, radio and servo-motor) composed by the user himself. There are two different types of drive mechanisms – alternative and direct current, containing the engine and the transistor to regulate the motor speed. To control the car, the radio set with two components: a transmitter and a receiver, is used. The three-channel transmitter with 2,4 GHz is the most common one. It can operate functions such as regulation of the gas, control of the servomotor and lights. The body of my model is shaped and varnished to resemble the real special Ford F-150 desert. In this case, it is possible to reach up to 100 km/h just as the real one. The truck is operated mostly on tracks made of gravel, clay, sand or grass, but it can handle even a concrete pavement, with the right choice of tires. The assembly of the whole truck with the chassis, electricity connections, varnishing and tire assembly takes up hundreds of hours. The price of this kit is around 10 000 CZK and after the addition of the RC system, servomotor, body, tires and battery it can go up to 30 000 CZK. |
