Description The purpose of this study is to present selected collection of scientific and human activities of the prominent physicists, looking not just at the science, but also the lives of the scientists themselves. The scientist is in the first place a human and secondly a scientist, Kepler, Newton, Pascal, Einstein, Sacharov, Planck, Laue, Landau from these examples we see that genuine science may not governed by the rules of any official philosophy. They proved to keep free spirits in all cultures, and could rebel against the local authority. Today, science is not something separate, there are science workers and scientists frequently in the ivory towers of academic institutions who quite ignore the world around. Advanced discoveries about the workings of our world or the whole Universe and create innovations to solve problems and address human needs is inherent motivation for everybody.
