Description Cities are unique environment with (1) newly created habitats, (2) high heterogeneity of fragmented and isolated habitats, (3) altered pool of plant species and (4) overall changes in natural conditions in the whole city. On the example of Brno city we summarise how these factors affect plant species composition and recent trends in changes in urban plant biodiversity.
