| Description | The present study is devoted to the personality of the Moravian composer of the Italian origin of Giovanni Battista Alouisi (around 1600-1665). It brings new biographical details, including the date of death, on the one hand, and complex appreciation of his work. The introductory part is devoted to the composer's life fate. For his Italian period, the main source is the title sheets and the dedication of the printed ones collections, for the period after the arrival in the Czech lands we also have archive materials, especially his letters newly identified in the Moravian Land archive |
