Description The field survey data on the areas and objects of the industrial period heritage was put through GIS processing to identify areas (zones) with a predefined share of heritage as special types of the present landscape. Experiments with available interpolation methods (binary with focal statistics, IDW, kernel regression and combinations of these) were applied to varying quadrat raster sizes and point clouds led to valuable results. Statistical comparison was used for the best output selection represented by the focal statistics of a 15x15 pixel moving window on binary map data with 30 m ground pixel size. The identified cores of the post-industrial landscape (PIL) were given with appropriate development proposals.
